Fiscal Year 2013-2014
On behalf of Fr. Leo and the Parish Pastoral Council, the Finance Council would like to express our appreciation to the parish community for your willingness to embrace our Lord’s call to live out the tithe. We are seeing the fruits of this discipline as more of our brothers and sisters in Christ walk the path of stewardship. We believe that tithing is one important way of participating in the ongoing mission of the Church and our parish.
One of the benefits of more parishioners participating in tithing, as well as parishioners increasing the amount of their tithe, is that our income will exceed our budgeted expenditures which are the amounts we plan to spend on staff salaries and benefits, caring for and preserving our historic facilities, annual parish activities and maintaining the many ministries servicing the community. However, our purpose as a parish is to expand the mission of Christ, to reach out and make a bigger difference in this community, and to bring far more people to Christ. To do this, we need more resources, both human and financial.
In our most recent fiscal year, which ended on June 30, 2014, our income approximated our expenditures which allowed us to share in the mission Christ is calling us to embrace. However, we know that there are greater needs out there and, therefore, we need even greater participation—everyone’s participation—if we are to truly accomplish the mission to which God is calling us.
As a parish family seeking to expand our mission, we encourage you to take a look at our financial report on the website to see a more detailed look at where our family has been financially. We thank you for your past support and encourage you to persevere in prayer and to continue to seek our Lord’s will for the faithful use of your time, talent and treasure. May God continue to bless our family of faith and our mission together!
